Three Things I Love About the France Pavilion in Epcot
When it comes to World Showcase, what is there not to love? While the elusive question ‘what is your favorite pavilion’ can stump even the most confident of Disney lovers, here at Celebrations we have made it a point to celebrate (quite literally) World Showcase in all of her wonder in 2020. From our decadent creme brulee cupcakes over on our sister site, WDW Cupcakes, to our pictorial article in WDW monthly saluting the romance and beauty of France, we have chosen the most romantic month of February for the pavilion that celebrates love all year round. From the dessert and bubbly, to everyone’s favorite little chef, to those breathtaking, incomparable fountains, France is not just a stop on your way to Japan and Norway, it is a land of its own to be experienced with friends, family and loved ones. Come along with me as we celebrate what we love most about one of Epcot’s most beloved World Showcase pavilions as well as what we can’t wait to see in her future.
Dessert and champagne can (and should!) be enjoyed any time of the day
Often when I visit Walt Disney World I make it a point to order dessert before dinner (or sometimes even before breakfast!) and have no qualms sipping on a limoncello or froze’ at 11:15 am. Over here stateside, we often like to throw out excuses like ‘in the UK and France they work four days a week and take three hour long lunches’ in order to justify indulging whilst on vacation. There’s no need for all of that rationalization – life is short, eat all the creme brulee and puff pastry your little heart desires, and all before noon if that suits your fancy. And speaking of indulgence, be sure to check out Crepes des Chefs de France for a decadent ice cream crepe in various, equally delicious flavors.
Enjoy the less crowded streets of France while you can!
While I am beyond excited for the upcoming Ratatouille Adventure coming to the France pavilion later this year, with the new excitement comes all the people. Come this summer, (show of hands, who has attempted to sneak a peek around the construction walls at the tiny chefs impending attraction?) that carefree walk through the gardens and around the fountains of France will be much more congested. Having said that, the changes Disney implements are what have me falling in love with this happy place over and over again. I can’t wait to see what Remy has to show us in and around his savory kitchen!
One of the most beautiful fountains in all of Walt Disney World!
It’s no secret that Disney is known for not only its breathtaking architecture, but chances are wherever you are on Disney property, there is bound to be a stunning fountain! But one of the most spectacular, dare I say the most beautiful fountain in all of Walt Disney World can be found in the France pavilion. Made even more stunning and romantic after the sun goes down, this is the perfect spot to hold your loved one close, gaze up at the stars, or, if the mood strikes, even drop down on one knee. Of course it’s also a great place to have a seat and finish that creme brulee before continuing your trek around the world!
From marriage proposals to business proposals, there is no place more magical and romantic to experience all of life’s moments from the mundane to the extraordinary than the France pavilion in Epcot. From shopping to eating to perusing and simply ‘taking it all in’ , there truly is something for everyone. While I absolutely love this dedicated scene to our beloved sister country, the influence of France can be seen throughout Walt Disney World – not just in Epcot as Canada has a pronounced French influence, but think Port Orleans Resort (French Quarter and Riverside) on Disney property! We love that you can catch a little of the romance and elegance of France throughout Disney World.
