Enchanted Tales With Belle
Fantasyland gives Disney Guests the amazing opportunity to step into their favorite fairy tales and stories, to walk around in their favorite stories and watch them come to life. You can go under the sea with Ariel from the Little Mermaid, fly over London with Peter Pan, or traipse through the Hundred Acre Wood with Winnie-the-Pooh. One of the most immersive experiences in Fantasyland is Enchanted Tales With Belle, which takes Guests inside the world of Beauty and the Beast.
1. What Is It?
Enchanted Tales With Belle is part interactive show, part character meet and greet. It begins with Guests stepping into Maurice’s cottage and workshop. A mirror in the workshop magically transforms into a doorway which then leads to Beast’s castle.
In the castle, you’ll encounter a talking wardrobe which will help prepare you to meet Belle. This won’t be an ordinary meeting. Guests will perform a re-enactment of Belle and Beast’s story as part of Belle’s birthday celebration. Both adults and children will be enlisted to take part in the show, which takes place in the castle Library. Lumiere, the enchanted candelabra, sits atop the fireplace and the library and, like the wardrobe, is able to talk and move.
Characters chosen in the show will be given props. There are only a few main roles, but any child that wants to be a part of the show will be given a prop to hold.
2. Where Is It Located?
The Attraction is located in Fantasyland by the Be Our Guest restaurant and across from the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Before entering the Attraction, a queue winds through a garden outside Maurice’s cottage complete with a water well, rustic wooden fencing and an assortment of greenery. Maurice’s cottage is set back a bit making it a bit easy to miss if you are rushing through the park.
3. How Long Does It Take?
From beginning to end, the Attraction lasts for about 20 minutes. The show itself is relatively short, but then each child is given the opportunity to meet one-on-one with Belle and have their photograph taken.
4. PhotoPass
Like other character meet and greets, there is a PhotopPass photographer located at the Attraction to take pictures of children as they meet Belle.
While Walt Disney World meet and greet locations are becoming more and more immersive (for instance Ariel’s grotto or the Tinkerbell meet and greet at the Town Square Theater), none quite compare to Enchanted Tales With Belle for level of detail. Countless odds and ends from Belle’s life fill Maurice’s cottage and the castle library is full of things like ornate carpets, sculptures and shelf upon shelf of books. The realism of the talking wardrobe and Lumiere also go a long way toward making it seems as though you’ve stepped right into the tale as old as time.
