Visiting The Laughing Place

by | Jun 16, 2019 | Disney Parks and Resorts

The Magic Kingdom has a little something for everyone. Thrill seekers can ride Space Mountain or Splash Mountain. Foodies can grab a bite to eat at Be Our Guest. Gamers can play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom or A Pirate’s Adventures: Treasures of the Seven Seas. Explorers can journey through Tom Sawyer Island or take a trip on the Jungle Cruise. No matter what you like, the Magic Kingdom has something for you. It even has something for its youngest guests.

After a day of waiting in lines, taking in shows, and paying a visit to the 999 happy haunts of the Haunted Mansion, there’s a good chance that Walt Disney World’s youngest guests might just need a place to get their wiggles out, and parents might need a chance to sit for awhile and rest their aching legs. When (not if) that happens, it’s probably time to visit the Laughing Place.

The Laughing Place is a playground located near the exit of Splash Mountain in Frontierland. Like Splash Mountain, it is themed after Disney’s Song of the South. Br’er Rabbit greets Guests at the entrance, informing visitors that only kids 40 inches and under are permitted to play on the structures.

The area has a slide and several small “buildings” to explore, all of which are built to resemble the living quarters of Br’er Rabbit and Friends. There are benches nearby where parents can rest their weary legs.

In addition to being a great spot for youngsters to get out some excess energy, the Laughing Place is also a good spot for parents to wait if they want to rider swap on an attraction like Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain, that their littles are too small to ride.
